Kalon Hoard, CFP®, AWMA®, AAMS®, serves as Holland Financial’s chief investment officer, and is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations.
Mr. Hoard grew up in the small town of Bronson, Michigan. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Trine University, Angola, Indiana. In 1990 Kalon moved from Indiana to Florida, when he accepted a job with a local defense contractor.
In 2000 he decided to make a career change to financial services and investment management. While working for MetLife he was introduced to David Holland by his parents, who were clients of David’s. ...And as they say, “the rest is history.” After over 14 years of outstanding service, Kalon Hoard is Holland Financial’s longest term employee and president.
Since entering the financial services field, Kalon has earned three professional designations: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM and Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM. He holds the Florida Life, Health, and Variable Annuity insurance license, and has completed the FINRA series 6, 7 and 26 security exams.
Kalon and his wife, Laura, live in DeLand, where Laura is an elementary school teacher. They have two teenaged children, Aaron and Maura.
