Steve Tacinelli was born in Bethesda, Maryland, but became a “Floridian” in 1978 when his father retired from the military. He attended Seabreeze High School and later, Florida State University. Steve holds degrees in Criminology and Accounting from FSU.
After working six years as a staff accountant and controller for two local businesses, Steve was hired by Holland Financial in 2008. His talents were quickly realized, and he was promoted to the positions of controller and vice president of tax services. During his time with the firm, he has earned both the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) designation. These designations require a mastery of taxation, advanced accounting and financial operational management knowledge, including financial planning, analysis, control and decision support. Steve says that he “likes working for a company that provides quantifiable and tangible benefits to its clients.” Steve is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the American Institute of CPAs®.
When away from the office, Steve enjoys time with his wife, Darlynn, who owns “Little Blog Dress,” a social media business. Playing golf, umpiring Little League baseball and rooting for the Seminoles at FSU football games, are three of his favorite pastimes.
